Informative article in the Chicago Tribune using the film American Legacy as a case study to illustrate the rise in indie filmmakers opting for straight-to-DVD distribution over pursuing a theatrical release. Includes some interesting facts and figures about how much a producer’s rep might charge and how many DVDs an indie production can expect to sell and how long it will take to get there.
