Moviehole has an exclusive interview with Tanit Phoenix, star of upcoming direct-to-video entries in the Lost Boys and Death Race franchises. It has since been confirmed that she did not get the Megan Fox role in Transformers 3, but she talks briefly about her audition. The rest is devoted to her work in Lost Boys: The Thirst, “I wanted to play a bad girl, and I finally got my chance,” and Death Race: Frankenstein Lives, “I get to navigate, and I do major stunts from climbing out of the speeding car and shoot other convicts, to being shot out of the car and landing with a safety chute. Two Straight-to-DVD Sequels for Phoenix
GeekWeek reporting that supermodel Tanit Phoenix is set to star in two upcoming straight-to-DVD sequels, The Lost Boys: The Thirst, which just wrapped, and Death Race: Frankenstein Lives (technically a prequel), which begins shooting next month in her native South Africa. In keeping with the direct-to-video sequel theme, Frankenstein is helmed by Marine 2 director Roel Renie. Thirst, which also shot in South Africa (Phoenix stays close to home for these), is directed by Dario Piana, who shot indie horror flick The Deaths of Ian Stone.

MovieHole reporting that Luke Goss (Blade II, Hellboy II) will be playing Luke (guy in Frankenstein mask in the original) in the Death Race straight-to-DVD prequel Death Race: Frankenstein Lives. I have not seen Death Race so I can’t give you the skinny on Luke’s character or what backstory might be revealed, but I have seen all of the sequels Gueillermo Del Toro has directed can attest to Goss’ badassery. If they ever get him out of the car, he will be able to kick much ass, is all I’m saying.
Here’s a little taste of the Goss-fu from Blade 2…
